Up for sale is a 750 SX in mint condition. Only 2 spots on the trailer and need to make room for a sit-down, so this needs to go.
Spent the lock downs completely restoring 2 of these since I was stuck inside anyway. This was also right after the 2-stroke ban, so it seemed logical to grab a couple of used ones while the market still had a selection.....
- Every part of the ski was removed, rebuilt, repainted or modified.
- This is a rare version of the ski with the original black hull guards and a "period correct" paint job
Originally purchased from Gene's Marine in Michigan, they did the engine work before delivery. After it arrived I proceeded
to completely tear the hull down and replace all bearings and seals. I also repainted the hull interior and bottom section (gel coat).
List of new or modified parts;
- Bars grips and trigger throttle
- Solas lower pitch prop and jet bearings
- Gel coat inside and out of hull
- Output shaft bearings
- Complete engine rebuild with new crank and pistons
- JetWorks racing pipe
- New wiring and rebuild of ele. internals. coil, regulator, igniter ...etc.
- New Hydroturf rear tray side section covers (like OEM but better)
- Added electrical bilge pump with handle switch.
- Complete rebuild of dual 40mm Keihin carbs
The list goes on and on, but those are the highlights. The build goal was to get back to "stock" parameters first before pushing for
added horsepower. Consistent and reliable "mid" power gains have been achieved here with a lot of headroom for more.
Please don't ask if "it's big pin or small pin", ... that only mattered to racers or guys pushing 150+ horsepower. (The fact that the
marketing hype bullsh@t from the '90s is still clinging to life in some noob circles is amazing to me).
Happy to answer questions for serious buyers. If the ad is up the ski is still for sale (duh). 100 build hours in this ski, so price is firm.
I have all paperwork and receipts since purchase. The ski has only been on the water 3 times since completion.
