Mad River Teton Canoe 16' $500 OBO. Made from Rotomoulded / Royalex with Kevlar bow and stern guards. This is a great all-around family, fishing or expedition/trekking canoe. It can carry up to 1100lbs. It is extremely stable and virtually indestructible. This canoe has been down the Green, Colorado, Gunnison, Yampah, Platte, Yellowstone, Snake, Kootenay, and a few other rivers. It has a slight V rocker for good tracking and speed, without losing stability. It is so stable, you can almost stand and fish from it. It is not a whitewater canoe, with lots of rocker, but can handle class I, II whitewater quite easily. This is a great canoe for a family, larger groups, for fishing or someone who wants to trek and carry gear. It is also a great canoe for river trips, since it is so durable. You can drag it over anything. But it is also a tad heavy, 79lbs, and slower on flat water. We're very sad to let it go. It has been with our family for over 20 years and been on lots of trips. But we're older and empty nesters, so are downsizing. Includes two paddles. Vinyl gunwales, wooden thwarts and web seats. I think I have a canoe seat somewhere with a back-rest. All in good shape. I hope we can find a nice home for it. Thanks.
