They don't make 'em like they used to. This is a classic Japanese steel 10-speed road bike from the esteemed Lotus line. Manufactured circa 1980 as part of their "Legend" model line.

Still has the factory serial number (KE05700) on it and most of its original parts: the original Shimano tension shifters are super unique and easy to use, and you can't find caliper brake design like this any more. The toe clips on the pedals make for sure pedaling and no slipping when wet. The back-end rain cover is a no-frills after market add on, but functional for keeping you dry, and the quick release lever makes it super easy to take the front wheel off and put it back on for storage or transport. It's an amazing collector's item, and it's probably worth a lot more in the right bike nerd market (but I don't have time to figure that part part out, so here I am on Craigslist).

The bike is light, fast, and stylish. I used to get compliments on it all the time. Great ride for commuting or just having fun getting around. This bike was my pride and joy for years, and it still hurts me to let it go, but I'm downsizing and need the space. It's been in storage for a couple years, so it needs a basic tune up, but it's still a joy to ride. I would love to see it go to a new home!

Selling for $150 obo. Willing to deliver in the Denver metro area for an extra $20, or you can pick it up from me in the La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood. Email/text me if you have questions questions!
