For one reason or other , this bike has been overlooked,
I can assure you that's it's a good value .
Many upgraded parts installed...Description is below..
A trouble free , economy minded bike, ready for a new owner.
Size 18 frame , ....it seems to ride a tad smaller though.
I'd suggest a rider height of 5'5" to 5'9" depending on preference.
Nice purple color ,
I used a good deal of different colored bits on the assembly and
re cabling of the bike, definitely not boring or "regular", ...
I recycled some extra bits of cable housing I had , ...
The paint has some transport marks ...but it is a still a nice,.. vibrant purple.
The frame is solid with no dents or dings .
It's mechanically sound ...and rides really , really well.
Very light and easy to pedal,
I put some nice newer cross tires on .
21 speed , shifts great for the hills .
New cables and casings installed where appropriate.
Newer reconditioned shifters installed and work nice and smooth .
26 " quality upgraded Mavic rims roll true, lighter than the original freewheel set.
I serviced both hubs with new grease and adjusted bearing lash as well . The wheels roll buttery smooth, like a warm croissant 🥐 on Saturday morning.
Stops as it should, no problem ..
Cleaned up , and ready to go today , great economy minded all around bike for fun, fitness or school.
Good candidate for that fast growing kid who could pass it down to a sibling in a season or two. Middle sized , so Dad or mom could use it as well . It would fit well into a family for multiple members to use , heck, let the neighbor kid use it too ... Keep em ' out of trouble..lol
You can confidently ride this bike for seasons to come .
It has a fun distinct color palate . Pick it out fast in the bike corral.
Good choice for a second commuter or replacement bike if you need something dependable , or in a hurry .
If you're traveling through the area ,and are headed for the hills ,
this could be a viable purchase for your RV and trailer to get around cheaply,
or ride some great mountain vistas for pennies on the dollar .
Great option. Heck of a lot cheaper than renting and having to deposit and return, etc...this bike is turnkey.
