Comfortable, practical, reliable, attractive hybrid bike in TRULY LIKE NEW, turnkey condition.
• ONE OWNER (My sister-in-law)
• MSRP in 2013 (year of purchase): $580, not including the rear rack, handlebar basket, white handlebar bar ends, and computer (speedometer/odometer)
• MILEAGE: Approximately 60 miles, always during dry weather on Colorado Springs bike trails and lanes
• STORAGE: Always in climate-controlled garage
• MECHANICAL CONDITION: Perfect
• COSMETICS: Incredibly close to perfect. Please see photos. There were only 2 small round paint chips, one 2mm in diameter, the other 1mm in diameter. The 2mm one is on the non-drive-side chainstay, and the 1mm one is on the drive-side chainstay. I touched up both, and they are virtually nondetectable from a distance of 3 feet. Photos 1 through 36 were taken after the touchup. Photos 37 through 42 have blue arrows showing the before and after touchup. Craigslist, however, allows a maximum of just 24 photos. Thus, I highly recommend going to my Flickr photo album (link will follow) where you can view all 42 photos of this bike, taken from almost every angle. And, as a bonus, the Flickr app provides outstanding photo clarity through its exemplary zoom function. The link follows:

• STRUCTURAL CONDITION: Completely sound (no cracks, no dents, no gauges, fully intact welds)
• CONDITION OF TIRES: Excellent (supple rubber tread, no dry rot or damage)
• PEDALS ARE BRAND NEW. Their toe clips can be easily removed if desired.
WHAT HAS BEEN DONE on the Bike Other than Installation of Accessories
• Frame: Meticulously cleaned and polished
• Shifters (on the handlebars): Meticulously cleaned (flushed) and lubed
• Derailleurs: Meticulously cleaned and lubed
• Chain: Meticulously cleaned and lubed
• Brake Calipers and Levers: Meticulously cleaned and lubed
• Hubs: Opened them up, removed old grease, applied fresh grease, and of course properly reassembled and adjusted them. There was no damage to the bearings, cups, and cones, and no dirt or other contaminants present, but it was time to replace the old grease.
• Crankset: Removed it to properly check the condition of the bottom bracket, which proved to be in excellent condition. Then cleaned the crank and chainrings before reinstalling them.
• Forks and Headset: Checked for proper adjustment and functionality. No changes are needed. I applied a lubricant specifically designed to enhance the smoothness of the stanchions.
• All bolts are tightened to manufacturer specifications.
WHAT IS NEW (meaning totally new, never used):
• Not much here. Just the PEDALS, REAR BRAKE CABLE, and BATTERIES (for the computerized speedometer/odometer). But, hey! That is due to the bike’s virtually new condition.
WEIGHT AS BUILT with rear rack, front basket, pedals, bottle cage, and speedometer/odometer:
• 34 pounds, 7 ounces
YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 2013
ABOUT ME:
I love working on bicycles, stripping them down, checking all components, replacing anything needed, adjusting all needing adjustment, thoroughly cleaning, lubing, and detailing them, thus bringing them to optimal, showroom condition.
I'm an old guy who has solo bicycle toured all over North America, road raced for only 14 months but was one of 45 racers invited to the 1975 U.S. Pan Am trials, one of about 100 invited to the 1975 U.S. National Championships, and one of 45 invited to the 1976 U.S. Olympic trials, where I completely flubbed, of course! Most important, I'm detail oriented and willing to spend as much time as is required to bring a bicycle to a level that a buyer would be proud to show off and ride. I can't say that I make money doing this. But I do have fun!
