As per Priority them selves "Traditionally, commuter bicycles have been modified road set-ups that are adequate for a long haul, or stripped back mountain bikes that are durable for bad weather, or uncomfortable single speeds with add-ons to take the abuse of daily commuting. With the Continuum Onyx, we sought to make an all-inclusive, highly functional commuter bicycle for both the workweek grind and weekend touring fun. From the intuitive Enviolo CVT and Gates Carbon Drive, to included lights and fenders, daily riding is a joy."
Guys with all that said, this is a top-shelf hybrid bike that caters directly to the commuter. Its not a modified bike of another type, its purpose built for its job. Theres a rear rack for your cargo and to hang you panniers. The drivetrain is very quite, its also takes very little maintenance compared to chains and no more greasy legs. Deraileurs are a thing of the past, no more jammed chains or trims out of whack, it just works. The rear hub is right out of NASA, with an infinitely variable gear ratio, just twist the grip to adjust the pedaling resistance. The bike has hydraulic disc brakes, because stopping fast is important in traffic. Theres a dynamo powered head and tail light, and guess what, the tail light gets brighter when you brake! This would also be a great gravel bike, just put some 700 x 35's on it and let'er rip.
I am the sol owner of this bike and it's always been treated like a part of the family :)
