While you will need training, it is not a difficult task to learn if you have good coordination. This paramotor, or PPG (Powered Paragliding) configuration, is best for stable flight and learning, particularly if you don't want to try and balance running and wing control with a hundred pounds on your back. I got the trike at the start of my training since I was 58 at the time.
This motor is a very stable platform with tons of power to launch even the heaviest pilots. I also have the original harness included in case you want to try "foot launch." Once you get a powerful motor, you only adjust the size of your wing (some call it a parachute). I loved the idea of affordable flying out of a field. I am only stopping the flying experience due to age, when my instincts have slowed down. It is the most fun I've ever had - I've told friends it is a flying motorcycle. All you need is a field. You need to be pretty coordinated to fly a paramotor, and most people can do it.
You can break down this equipment to fit in a larger SUV or minivan, or into the back of a pickup, like I did.
