I am a young female artist (drawing, painting -mostly acrylic-, stained glass, furniture restoration, etc..) who has been wanting to learn to tattoo for years. I'm finally at a point that I believe in my drawing skills enough to proceed to the next step of learning to draw with the focus on tattoo designing and then learning with a tattoo machine. I do have a part time job that I cannot afford to give up in order to do a full time non-paying apprenticeship but if someone could begin (and maybe continue) to show me the ropes of the tattoo industry and show me some skills, I would make a great part-time apprentice. Depending on the arrangement I can pay some $ for lessons. Before you ask, yes I have tattoos myself, and I do know several artists but they are no longer practicing tattooing or are too busy to teach me. I have reliable transportation and I'm not a psychopath. Im also a hard worker and this is my dream I'd love to eventually turn into a career, though I know that will take years since I do intend to fully learn and not jump into a shady garage black market tattoo shop. I want to get a license once I'm qualified.

I can provide some drawings if anyone's interested in this but again I am still learning what I would need for a full portfolio so I don't have a ready one yet.
