Vintage Dietz “MONARCH” Railroad Lantern with Red “FITZALL” Globe 13.5" Tall. Circa 1937-1956. A classic kerosene oil metal lantern in a silver finish with red glass globe. Embossed on top of fuel tank/fount “DIETZ N.Y. U.S.A” and “MONARCH”, on top of ventilation cap “DIETZ – MONARCH, NEW YORK, N.Y. U.S.A.” Red glass globe is marked “H 12, DIETZ – SYRACUSE, N.Y., U.S.A” and ‘FITZALL, LOC-NOB, REG’D U.S.A. PAT.OFF”. Made by R.E. Dietz Co., Syracuse, New York, USA. The “H” on the globe stands for Hocking Glass Co. and the “12” is for the globe type - made between 1937-1956 (discontinued). A great piece for any railroadiana, train, lantern collector or cabin/barn décor.
Approx. 13.5” Tall, 17.2.5” Tall to top of handle, 7.25” Wide X 6.50” Diameter at base.
