The clock case is wood. The inlay pieces don't feel raised so may have been painted instead of inlay. The case has wear but no missing parts.
The clock face is marked Gilbert 8 day. The hands are a bronze color that matches the numbers. The rim is gold color. The move with no problems
On the back of the clock the wind up key and the time set are in place. I can see the lever for fast to slow adjustment but it doesn't raise above the back cover. The screws show signs that the back has been removed.
I got this clock from the estate of a clock repair guy. I assume it was one he never got around to fixing. I was able to wind up the clock but it did not start.
