This mid-century modern desk is probably from the late 1950s to early 1960s. It is unmarked so we don’t know who made it. It has several nice features that make it a very versatile and functional desk for your office space.
The desk has an extended top that extends past the end of the desk frame on the backside, providing a several inches of extra desktop surface. It is finished on the back allowing it to sit attractively anywhere in a room.
Security is high on this desk. The drawers on both sides lock with the keys provided. When the left side is locked both drawers lock and the same goes for the three drawers on the right side.
The wooden body of the desk is highlighted with chrome trim and chrome legs giving it a stylish, mid-century look.
The surface of the desk measures a spacious 59 inches wide by 29 ¾ “deep and it stands 29 ¼ inches high. The knee space is 26 inches wide. The drawers are 16 inches wide.
This desk is in very good vintage condition. The top is in excellent shape. There is some sun fading to the wood on the right side. See image 4. It could be stained to match but I will leave that decision to the new owner.
This is a nice desk that can add some mid-century style to an office. It can be seen and purchased at the address in the listing. Delivery is available. Be aware, if you plan to move it yourself, this is not a flimsy desk. It is very heavy.
