United Furniture was founded in Lexington, NC in 1905. The company was one of many furniture companies with North Carolina origins. They were known for quality furniture at reasonable prices. The company was sold in 1968. This piece is an example of their ability to change with the times when more modern styles than they were accustomed to became popular in the United States.
This walnut mirror was designed as a bedroom mirror but will look good in any mid-century space. It is made of walnut and has nice depth to the frame. There is some light scrolling on the top and bottom inner edge. It was made in the early to mid-1960s.
It measures 44 x 25 ½ x 2 ½ inches deep. It is currently wired to be hung vertically as pictured. It could be switched to horizonal if preferred.
This mirror is in excellent vintage condition. It has been oiled lightly to relieve it from the Colorado dryness. The glass is excellent without any silvering.
This is a nice mid-century mirror for a bedroom or other space.
It can be viewed and purchased at the address in the listing.
