Two platters stamped "James Dixon & Sons Sheffield" with their trumpet and banner mark indicating these plates were produced between c 1880-1920.
The smaller plate measures 10" in diameter and weighs 15.5 oz. It has an intricate pierced metal design with decorative perforations going all around the edge.
The larger tray or charger measures 12" in diameter and weights 1 lb 15 oz. It has a decorative scalloped edge and a deeper indentation in the center, perfect for serving. These are genuine antique silverplate, not magnetic, and recently polished to remove tarnish. In overall excellent antique condition with light scratches as shown in photos. Comes with a 14.5" square zippered bag made of tarnish-preventing silversmith's cloth for storage, eliminating the need for frequent polishing.
