Gas or oil can with screw on lid. No noticeable smell inside, has wire handle with wooden grip for carrying. There is no cap for the spout although it looks like it had one at one time. The spout has some dents in it. Very aged, some rust, but not too bad! I see no manufacturer's mark, but it is a very sturdy piece still. It is about 11-1/2" to the top of the handle and 20" around. Nice Rustic decor!
