The Canon AE-1 is a 35 mm single-lens reflex film camera for use with interchangeable lenses. It was manufactured by Canon Camera in Japan from April 1976 to 1984 and sold over 5 million-one of the most popular cameras ever. It uses an electronically controlled, electromagnet horizontal cloth focal plane shutter, with a speed range of 2 to 1/1000 second plus Bulb and flash X-sync of 1/60 second. This camera was purchased in about 1981 and has been in our family since. It is no longer used and we have decided to part with it. We are not aware of any problems with it other than hasn't been used for a while and needs film and a new battery. It comes with camera body, Access 7 element converter, Access zoom lens w/cap, 50mm lens w/ lens cap, flash attachment, original instruction books, protection case, rubber eyepiece, and Hippie style neck strap.
