1960's MODERN SERIGRAPH [silk screen] by ANTON FORTESCU - SMYTH... TITLED "MIRO ‘ REVISITED"
SIGNED and TITLED by the artist in pencil on front/bottom below the print area AND hand numbered ‘1/150’ in pencil on left lower corner…. this is an original serigraph, in its original frame & with all original documentation.
... colors are 2-tones of green & tan for the structures on a "robin's egg" blue background [pictures do not capture the colors very well!!].
Complete w/2 original paper tags/documentation attached to the back of the frame {artist/title of the work plus the selling location in NYC ... see pictures}+ metal wire hanger..... 12" W X 15" H approx. print area w/original matt surround ; ORIGINAL chrome metal-wrapped wood frame & surround [overall 16 3/4” X 20 3/4”]….frame has “107” ink marked inside center-bottom edge….. great addition to your collection or an architect’s office or_______?????

Also known as just Fortescu, he was born in 1936 in Bucharest, Romania to an English father and Romanian mother. He was accomplished at painting, printmaking and sculpture. He worked in a pottery factory in Greenwich Village, NY when he was young. He founded the New York School of Serigraphy & has permanent exhibits in the Village and other galleries in New York City.

[ From a recent internet search, I believe this item to be originally from an estate sale of a prominent art collector in Cleveland, Ohio.... originally purchased in the 60-70's {from Gary Arts Wholesale in NYC; see label on back} ; I received this in the late 1990's as a house-warming gift from an OHIO relative. ]
