It's that time of year again...grilling season:) Up for sale is my well designed offset smoker. Custom made from 1/4 inch plate steel it is loaded with features. Can't decide on Horizontal or vertical smoker? How about both!
Main cooking chamber is horizontal 28"wide by 24" deep. Height is adjustable with two racks. You can go from 10" tall to 16". Below that is ledges for 1/4 inch steel plates that turn this into a reverse flow smoker or help deflect heat in regular flow operation.
Sausages? No problem. This unit has a vertical chamber also with multiple hanging bars that can cook sausages or use as a warming oven to keep meats until dinner time. The vertical chamber measures 16" wide by 24" deep. Height is 48" for some long links. If you're not smoking sausage you have three racks that slide out and have a retention bar to hold weight while out. Could also use to store wood and warm it up to temp while you cook.
Firebox is 24" wide by 16" deep. Total length of this beast is 71" and 28" wide. Nicely designed hinges and handles, two ball cock valves for grease drains, 4 heavy duty casters. Cleaned up and ready for the season.
This smoker was custom made by a relative's neighbor friend. I bought it from him when he moved about 10 years ago. I love it but here in the mountains with no paved surfaces it's hard to move and I don't use the vertical chamber much except to dry my wood. I got myself a horizontal smoker that I can move to my deck so this one isn't getting as much use. Secret tip: we don't have any good hard woods up here in the mountains but aspen works great!
Asking $1200 cash. I'm open to trades. Some things I'm interested in: genie/sumner slc12 style material lift; hitch crane/boom; diesel heater; spot welder; Honda/Yamaha pit bike(motorcycle); high current lifepo battery charger(12or24v); 65cc+ stihl/husky chainsaw; echo 355T top handle chainsaw; alaskan mill; arborist gear; 3/4 hp+ meat grinder; 3rd gen 4runner parts; 100 series Land Cruiser parts, bumpers, roof racks etc...if there is a difference in value we can work it out in cash to you or me as the case may be.
This thing weighs A LOT. I can help load but you will need to bring a friend or two to get this on a trailer. I'm not sure how we would get it up to a pick up bed height.
