Verdi Consulting, Inc. is a boutique federal accounting, management consulting and enterprise solutions firm. We are seeking to fill Accounting Clerk II and Accounting Clerk I vacancies. These are full-time positions located in Lakewood, CO.

Accounting Clerk II
Responsibilities include:
• Must process a minimum of 50 invoices daily by your fourth week of training. Low error rate.
• Processing check and credit card deposits( Logging NSFs, upload and run related reports on government websites
• Creating, invoicing, and posting Intra-Government Payment and Collections (IPACs)
• Running and downloading daily Collections Information Repository (CIR) reports
• Reviewing and approving Sales Orders
• Support multiple clients
Required Qualification:
• Intermediate Level MS Excel (sorting, filtering, formatting, beginner-level formulas, etc
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting strongly preferred
• System savvy (i.e. FBMS, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Knowledge of Adobe Pro
• Strong communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Accounting (A/P) and auditing knowledge/experience
• Team player
• Knowledge of government accounting preferred
• Limited experience which required some knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, concepts and theories and the ability to apply them to a variety of financial problems. Limited knowledge to the theory, principles, and practices of fund accounting in a federal government environment.
• Limited experience with analyzing and interpreting financial data. Assists in preparing and gathering data for preparing reconciliation. Exposure to accounting data dealing with deposit funds, vendor payments, cash collections, un-liquidated obligations, payroll and/or property.
• Worked with at least one computerized accounting systems. Worked with entering, researching and interpreting a few types of accounting transactions in the financial system.
• Limited exposure to working with computerized word processing and spreadsheet application software.
• Demonstrated skills in the accomplishment of team/section goals and objectives, in which the scope of the work involves interaction with other team members and employees limited to personnel at a subordinate level. Skill in maintaining effective working relationship to communicate financial matters, both orally and in writing.

• .Education or in a training capacity which indicates a knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, concepts and theories and the ability to apply them to a variety of financial problems. Education or in a training capacity which indicates a knowledge of the theory, principles and practice of fund accounting in a federal government environment.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate an ability to analyze, reconcile and interpret financial data, extract pertinent details and prepare reports in a federal financial environment specifically dealing with deposit funds, vendor payments, cash collections, un-liquidated obligations, payroll and/or property.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate a knowledge of computerized accounting systems, particularly accounting systems designed to account for appropriated funds.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate a working knowledge of computerized word processing and spreadsheet application software.
• Potential in maintaining effective interaction with employees and customers from various organization and potential ability to communicate effectively regarding financial matters, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and demand.
