This person will contribute to our success by overseeing the inventory management process including serving as the main point of contact and liaison.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Inventory management duties, including the following:
  • Reconcile the inventory system to the G/L
  • Ensures proper accounting for general ledger transactions
  • Accurately accounts for all inventory activity in both the general ledger and the inventory system in accordance with GAAP
  • Accurately accounts for all accounts receivable activity in the general ledger and accounts receivable system; including recording customer payments, invoicing and collection of receivables.
  • Reconciles accounts receivable activity to the general ledger.
  • Tracking, reporting and preparation of requests for payment related to royalty/license fees due per contracts
  • Performs monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned accounts
  • Serves as back-up for check printing
  • Plays a key role in month end closing, preparing periodic reporting schedules and disclosures, and in the year end audit process
  • Ensures proper accounting of general ledger transactions and prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Assists department personnel in the discussion and resolution of accounting problems.
  • Identifies areas of internal control weakness and instigate solutions.
  • Assists other departments with various accounting needs and questions

    QUALIFICATIONS /EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years general ledger
  • A minimum of two (2) years of inventory management
  • At least one (1) year(s) accounts receivable experience
  • Must have a thorough understanding of general ledger, GAAP and ability to research related issues
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel. MS Word and Outlook experience required
