ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Supervises the day to day operations of the commissions accounting group
  • Ensures accurate accounting of all commissions activity
  • Manages and approve all commissions payments
  • Assists with the preparation of reconciliations and other work as needed
  • Oversees and review monthly commissions accrual schedules - including prepaid, liability and expense
  • Ensures all commission related information is properly recorded in the general ledger and adjust as needed
  • Uploads commission payment information into accounts payment module
  • Maintains high customer service standards within the department
  • Assist in month end closing procedures and reconciliations; including posting revenue and commissions
  • Reviews various G/L and bank accounts, as needed
  • Develops and implement new processes and procedures as required. Document procedures and train staff
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Must be able to supervise and provide training to commission staff. Must be able to mentor, coach, and provide timely feedback to staff within their scope of supervision.

  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory position
  • Two plus (2)+ years prior management experience
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities with extreme attention to detail
  • Strong supervisory skills. Demonstrated ability to delegate, provide guidance and ensure completion of multiple tasks
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): ability to present information in a variety of different formats to all levels of the organization
  • Highly motivated with ability to communicate change. Experience in a fast paced, large company environment
  • Ability to manage and lead team through changing environment, including organizational change and work flow
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
