Travel Writer (Denver)

Trazzler helps would-be travelers answer the question “Where should I go?” This month, we are hiring a freelance writer in Colorado to cover weekend getaways within driving distance of Denver.

How to Apply
Since Trazzler is quite different from other travel sites, the best way that we have found to scout out new writers is to get a sample trip. Our ideal candidate would be someone who understands what makes Trazzler tick, can easily navigate the content creation tools (and let us know when something doesn't make sense or could be better), and—most important—has a unique and personal way of traveling to share with fellow Trazzlers. Take a look at our writing guide and other help docs if you have any questions.

Instructions:
1. Sign up, if you haven't already.
2. Click on "Write a Trip" at the top of the page (you must be signed in).
3. Write a trip about the place you would like to cover (shoot for 65-150 words).
4. Add the tag DENfreelance to your trip.
5. Edit your bio to let us know what your area of expertise is and all the regions, countries, and cities that you want to write about (if there are any in addition to Colorado).

Let's be up front: while you are free to submit as many sample trips as you would like, we won't be purchasing individual trips. You are free to republish anything that you submit to Trazzler or to submit previously published (copyright-friendly) material that is edited to fit Trazzler's style. We will be keeping track of all of the writers who apply and submit publishable trips to Trazzler.
