HEALTHY OVERWEIGHT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
FOR A RESEARCH STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF
UNDEREATING ON METABOLISM
The University of Colorado Denver is seeking healthy, overweight men and women to participate in a research study of how the hormone insulin works in the body and how it responds to undereating.
Eligibility Criteria:
• You must be between the ages of 20-45
• You must be a healthy, overweight individual (body mass index
30-39.9 kg/m2) http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmi-m.htm
• You must not have diabetes
Participants Will Receive:
• Dietary analysis
• Laboratory testing
• Body fat measurement
• Resting metabolic rate measurement
• Financial compensation
