MaxFund is Denver's only no-kill shelter and we rely heavily on volunteers to accomplish what we need to! Once volunteers have gone through an orientation (typically once every other week, sometimes less, sometimes more) you are welcome to volunteer at the shelter whenever it is convenient for you without scheduling a shift, without a 3-hour shift minimum, etc. One of the best parts is, you can help animals who come in to the shelter fearful, injured, and dejected and help socialize them to get them adopted,w ithout fear they will be put down because they were deemed "unadoptable" or because they were there too long.
