Our condo is a first floor, end unit that sleeps 4 people comfortably. It is nicely appointed and has 1 bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper. The kitchen is fully furnished with all pots, pans, plates and utensils. A barbeque is also available on the deck that affords fantastic views of the Ten Mile Mountain range. There is covered parking in the garage.
There are two TVs with cable, one in the bedroom and one in the living room with DVD player. Also a Gas Fireplace offers ambience for those frosty nights.

Each unit has a view of the sea, small kitchen, king bed, sofa / sleeper bed, sitting area and an outdoor Jacuzzi on your balcony. There’s one particular unit we usually request because it is very private, it only looks out over the sea and not resort grounds. It has a huge balcony with not only a Jacuzzi, but also enough room for two lounge chairs and two sitting chairs and tables and gets tons of morning sun. If you call two weeks before your arrival you can request this particular room if it’s available. Additionally, each unit has daily maid service (and occasional turn down service) where they exchange your linens and even wash your dishes. There is also an electronic safe which takes away a lot of worry about where my passport, jewelry and money are.
The grounds are immaculate. Open aired verandas, terraced areas, palm trees, grassy areas, two restaurants, two bars (one you can swim up to), lighted walkways, several sunning patios and two pools. There's a spa on site with open air massages to the sound of the sea and a gym. What’s also nice is you choose whether to want to buy the all-inclusive, the Meal-Plan is optional. We usually do the all-inclusive for three days because the food is great and the drinks are free, it's about $55/pp/pd and if you do the 3 day deal they throw in another breakfast and dinner (essentially a 4th day free). There is also a couple of grocery stores a short taxi away in which you can stock up on food / drinks for your room. With the Meal-Plan you get breakfast and either lunch or dinner.
Really, even with the Meal Plan you should be going into Playa to eat sometimes. It’s a great town with the world famous pedestrian only Avenida 5 (5th Avenue), a mile + long street of shops, restaurants, bars and serious people watching (we particularly like the rope swings with a Corona and a tequila). This town has some great eats if you're a fooder :) The options range from yummy Mexican, Mayan, cheap seafood / taco local eats, lobster dinners and even an underground Cenote (water cave), we’ve been there a couple of times and would be happy recommending places. Also a ton of great activities close by, like snorkeling, SCUBA, Cozumel Island, ecological parks, the Mayan pyramids at Chitchen Itza and the Tulum ruins.
On site there are many activities and a staff of workers who are friendly and very helpful and offer great service. They will bring you drinks on the beach, move chairs, tables and umbrellas to accommodate your wants. I usually bring a stack of 20 pesos ($1.50) to tip extra. Although tips are considered covered already, the Mexican workers don’t really make that much and the service is so good that I like to do it. There are also on-site daily activities like yoga, stretching class, Spanish lessons, water volleyball, Texas hold-em and even kids time with Luis if you have children.
