We've visited this resort for 15 years now and every year we are pleased with the maintenance of the resort and surroundings. The resort is within walking distance of Los Cabos downtown area which is a plus as car rental is not necessary and cab expense can be kept to a minimum. The resort's greatest asset, however, is it's staff and the outstanding service that they provide. Many staffers have been there for years and are deeply committed to providing their guests with a great experience. The guest services group at this hotel is absolutely outstanding. Great place for a family vacation or a relaxing couples trip as well.

My family has gone down to Cabo the last 4 years. The Pueblo Bonito Resorts are wonderful, and we always have a good time. The staff at the Blanco which is next door is great, and the resort is small and quiet. The Rose' is larger and newer, bigger pool, and lots of fun stuff to do. We recently purchased a week at the Sunset, Very Nice Resort, seems to us the most upscale of the three in Cabo. They do have a free shuttle to the Rose' and Blanco and from there you get all the in town action.
Again the Resorts are Awsome.

My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day with 4 other couples. We all absolutely enjoyed the facilities and staff at the Pueblo Bonito Rose. The place is immaculate, with a beautiful pool and direct access to a swimmable beach.The staff -- from the front desk to the pool attendants to the housekeeping and maintenance folks and beyond -- were friendly and warm and helpful. We even enjoyed some of their resort recreation activities -- water aerobics and volleyball were especially fun.
Our room had a well-stocked kitchenette with a good-sized fridge, as well as a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and peeking at the ocean.
We would definitely stay here again!

I just returned from the most amazing vacation. The hotel exceeded my expectations.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and gorgeous. They were very generous with towels and shampoo etc etc. The valet staff was incredible and were very helpful in finding us a taxi en route to the airport.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
The locations was ideal. You could see the beach from our hotel room and also from the pool. The staff was always friendly and fun and I would go back in a heartbeat!

My wife and I returned from The Rose last week with my 8 year old daughter.....It was the best vacation and resort I have ever been to.....The food, drinks and location were the best...we have free shuttle to any of the other Pueblo Bonito resorts including SUNSET BEACH. My daughter played all day with all the kids and the activities for kids and adults was over the top......I will be going back...because we bought a timeshare there........

I've read many reviews of this hotel and I understand the pluses and minuses, as all resorts have (some of the best hotels, the minus would simply be the price). I've stayed in San jose del Cabo as well as Pueblo Bonito Rose', Pacifica and Blanco, and Sunset is our families favorite.
Cabo has many wonderful resorts with great food and service but Sunset Beach has something extra special: almost every room has full balcony with stunning view. To create such a feat they had to build on the side of a steep hill. That steep hill then leads to some of the minuses you will read, such as necessity of gas powered carts, steep climbs. I'll take the view ANY DAY! Give me the beauty!
The view over Medano Beach is wonderful for the first day or two but then becomes boring whereas the view at Sunset reminds me of being at the end of the world, being on a cruise ship in mid-ocean or being at some isolated gorgeous national park.
Another singular aspect is most of the balconies are private. Another plus is the beach itself which is fierce. On most of our visits we got to experience pounding surf that I've not seen elsewhere. Crashing and spectacular. And on the beach you often feel like you are alone which really fills my soul. Now, with that crashing wave comes the minus you often read: no swimming. Give me this wild and fierce surf any day. and deserted beach and keep your crowded 24/7 tourist beach any day!
Don't get me wrong...we all love to swim in the ocean and enjoy the activity of Medano...but in smaller doses than 24/7.
The answer is to take the shuttle to Rose' and spend the day.
Another big plus at Sunset is the food, ranked, I think, #1 by Conde Nast for resort food. And, much of it is surprisingly affordable. It is good food, and not made good as in so many Cabo restaurants by appearance, alcohol consumption or salted short cuts...but good by quality and distinctive tastes. The tastes of many dishes are "fine", distinct, culinary.
I've too often found Cabo restaurants expensively disappointing though there are good ones.
If we want to party in town til 3am, we take the shuttle, then taxi back. No big deal
The employee turnover seems well under the norm and that speaks very well and I've rarely had anything but superlatively friendly service.
We always find ourselves struck by so much beauty at this resort where every step, angle and elevation gives a very different and stunnng view. The attention to detail with the many statues, animals and landscaping never fail to charm and surprise. It seems much of the architecture and features were designed to frame a unique vista of the ocean...peek a boo and framing. Visually, this place is just a feast!
I can't say enough good things about the pools and I don't know of another resort that offers so many different pool "environments" and scenery as Sunset Beach. One day I'll want to read quietly by the adult pool, and the next I'll seek the activity of the main pool beach side, and then another I'll like being at the pool that hosts the Kids Club...or the Sky pool for unbelievable view The Sunset pools with there many layers and features. I always feel like a kid at Main Pool doing the sun-shaded jetted round-about (and how great is that...being in the pool section that was designed for shade?)
A big plus is that after my stays at Sunset Beach I feel in top shape without having had to force myself in to the gym, simply because I chose to walk up and down while taking in spectacular views. When you check in ask where the walkways are so you can avoid walking in the golf cart paths...highlight them on your map.
Another must (everyday for me...like meditation) is walking all the way to the end of Pedregal Beach, early morning or sunset. Or, dragging a lounge chair to where the waves end and just taking it all in at Sunset.
The cabanas on the beach are perfect and private places to nap...especially if you have a bunch of family and friends making noise in your suite.
You have to try the La Nao breakfast buffet at least once (Sunday is more expensive though) and enjoy their wide array of yogurts made on premises and omelet bar. The Bistro breakfasts are fabulous! We always avoided the La Nao theme nights as the reviews were mixed and didn't want to make expensive mistake. But someday.
The Sunset Beach stores are reasonable as far as groceries go.
Kids Club is first class and very affordable, especially for half day. Kids menu is fabulous!
It is hard to find any complaint with the suites themselves. Expensive woods, comfortable feather top beds, pillow menu, large bathrooms, modern appliances in kitchen.
This is more than a great hotel and resort; it is a very special piece of land where two dynamic bodies of water meet and if you love nature, you will appreciate the special beauty.

Our home sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on close to a
1/2 acre of property, nestled up against the White River National Forest
boundary. A perennial stream runs through the property for much of the summer.
Relax in our
2800 sq. ft. home, flooded with natural light and views of the forest and

We have stayed at Valdoro four times, each for a week, most recently in February 2009. On each occasion the accommodations, amenities, and staff at Valdoro have always exceeded our expectations. We have also brought guests with us on several occasions and they have told us how impressed and pleased they were with Valdoro.
Valdoro is totally family-friendly. And, it's also great for adults on their own (you'll never feel like you're being overrun by a nursery-school-run-amok). Having skied all over the US and Canada (Tahoe, Park City, Winter Park, Banff, Whistler, etc.), we can easily say that the best, most consistent skiing conditions we have enjoyed have been at Breckenridge and the best accommodations have been at Valdoro.
For amenities, your unit will have a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, fireplace, flat panel TVs with DVD player, and wireless internet. The master bath has both a stall shower and jetted tub. The property’s amenities include: two large hot tubs, a fully-appointed exercise room, a video game room, and a member lounge with pool table, board games, etc. There is also a spa at the resort where you can get a massage, facial, etc.
From Breckenridge it is an easy drive to a number of other world-class ski areas (Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and A-Basin). In fact, you can take the local bus to Keystone (perhaps A-Basin too) if you don't want to drive. If you get a PEAKS ski pass, it will let you ski at all the affiliated resorts. (Get this pass in advance for the best rates.)
In addition to the skiing, Breckenridge is a terrific town with lots of restaurants (of all types and prices) as well as shops. All of this is within walking distance of Valdoro.

We use this house as our home away from home and we think you'll love it as much as we do.
Watch BluRay and DVD movies, or play PS3 or Wii on the 46" LCD with surround sound in the living room. We have 100s of videos and dozens of games in our video and game library. The King and 2 Queen bedrooms also have their own LCD TVs. The home is very easy to get to and close to everything, but sits on .7 acres and is well away from highway and train noise.

The formal dining room lies just off the kitchen and has a table with seating for 6, and access to the back deck.
