Generate incident tickets, service orders and provide Level 1 support for reported problems. Determine complexity of trouble and escalate to second level support when necessary. Perform daily tasks assigned to the Help Desk.

Essential Job Duties
<br>
•	Create and work incident tickets as part of Level-1 support. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents as possible. Escalate tickets to Level-II support as necessary.
<br>
•	Create and work service requests as part of Level-1 support. Gather information, identify solutions or escalate request to Level-II support as necessary.
<br>
•	Provide Level-1 support for enterprise software applications, such as Retail.Net, Oracle Financials, and Email.
<br>
•	Provide Level-1 password reset for specified systems.
<br>
•	Provide Level-1 support for corporate outsourced applications.
<br>
•	Provide Level-1 support for corporate computer, network, printers, scanners, cash drawers, credit card machines, gift card machines and other direct-attached and network-attached peripherals.

•	Provide Level-1 support for corporate telephone systems including phone switches, handsets, access to voice mail, and SmartPhone device access to corporate Email server.

•	Update knowledge management system as new information is available.

•	Escalate incidents to problems as required.

•	Evaluate operating procedures, update procedure documentation and ensure all involved persons are current on procedural changes

•	Report service outages for voice and data communication systems in accordance with escalation procedures.

•	Isolate/resolve vendor issues within capabilities.  Coordinate dispatch of local vendor support for incidents.

•	Test computer software load images.
<br>
•	Maintain hardware inventory for all IT maintained systems in accordance with IT policies.

•	Conduct all Level-II shipping, receiving, inventorying, storing, testing, and repairing for all IT maintained hardware systems including store or site-based computers, monitors, multi-function printers, printers, hand scanners, wireless RF scanners, keyboards, signature capture devices, telecheck devices, receipt & pick-ticket printers, network and stand-alone printers and all other IT supported hardware.

•	Perform tasks of generating and distributing various daily, weekly and monthly reports.
<br>
•	Order supplies for printers, copiers and fax machines for the entire corporation. Collect and report print counts for all devices on a cost-per-copy contract.
<br>
•	Conduct provisioning/de-provisioning activities to ensure employees and contractors have the correct level of access to systems as specified in IT procedures.
<br>
•	Perform on-call duties as prescribed by management, including weekend support at the SSC.
<br>
•	Perform other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites for the job

•	High School diploma / some post secondary education preferred.

The Impact You’ll Have at RP<br>

•	You have 2+ years in a Computer/Technology Operations production environment or applicable Computer Education.<br>
•	Strong written/oral communication skills. <br>

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS<br>
•	Strong knowledge of UNIX and UNIX server administration via command line. <br>
•	Experience with UNIX shell scripting and Perl code. <br>
•	Knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP.<br>

•	Familiarity with VMWare and Remote server administration.<br>

DVDPlay is the creator and manufacturer of the world’s first fully automated and remotely managed DVD rental machine. Operated exclusively by credit or debit card, there are no application forms to complete, no clerks to pay and no cash to collect. Rental transactions take less than a minute. The entire system is simple, secure and easy to use. Our kiosks reside in the supermarkets you shop in, and business is booming! <br>

ABOUT THE JOB <br>
FSEs are responsible for inspection, operation, maintenance, repairs (scheduled and emergency), and modification on all DVDPlay equipment in the field. FSEs also assist with installations and provide support in escalated situations. <br>
<br>
Major tasks include preventive maintenance, system level troubleshooting, repairs, field service calls, field upgrades, training and providing technical supports via emails and/or phones. <br>
<br>
FSEs are required to work out of home office as well as travel to install sites to service machines. They must have a valid, driver’s license and proof of current insurance. Positions requires extensive travel (90%-95%) mainly local in the assigned region. <br>
<br>
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
• Perform onsite preventive maintenance, unscheduled maintenance/repair and remote repair on all DVDPlay equipment <br>
• Work closely with technical support team to resolve escalated problems <br>
• Identify and analyze root causes of system inefficiencies or failure <br>
• Assist in Level Two monitoring and troubleshooting of DVDPlay systems <br>
• Provide detailed documentation for each site visit performed and enter into our tracking system in a timely manner <br>
• Maintain equipment, calibration items, and other job related materials <br>
• Assist with installation <br>
• Identify and resolve more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. <br>
• Handle calls and email inquiries from the field and provides technical support. <br>
• Implement software changes remotely, as well as at kiosk locations. <br>
• Install, integrate and test products at wireless kiosk locations. <br>
• Support field acceptance of products. <br>
• Provide technical assistance to other field technicians. Some scheduled 24-hour on-call rotation required. <br>
• Perform other duties as assigned <br>

QUALIFICATIONS <br>
• Highly reliable self-starter; can-do attitude; able to work with minimal supervision <br>
• Ability to focus and understand field support needs; strong interpersonal and telephone skills for regular field interaction <br>
• 5 or more years of experience in installing or repairing electro-mechanical capital equipments preferred. <br>
