Strong familiarity with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 including user account administration, patching, and installation and troubleshooting. Experience and expertise administering Exchange Server 2007 including supporting MS Outlook clients. <br>

Colorado Public Radio operates a two-channel, twenty-three station network throughout Colorado. It also provides audio streaming and podcast services to thousands of listeners each week. Colorado Public Radio serves as the technical operations center for Jazzworks, a twenty-four hour public radio program service; and Northwest Public Radio, a two-channel, public radio service for the state of Washington.<br>

POSITION SUMMARY<br>

The Technical Support Specialist will report to the Vice President, New Media & Technology and will work closely with Colorado Public Radio Systems Engineers, Programmers and Technical Operations Center staff. This position provides expert level tech support for Colorado Public Radio and partner station's staff and requires at least 10 hours per week in our Technical Operations Center. This position also includes a few systems administration tasks. This is a full-time, non-exempt position which occasionally requires work outside of normal business hours.<br>

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES<br>
<br>
General duties: provides user support for computer-based hardware and software systems. Provides installation, troubleshooting, and minor repair services. Provides follow-up support for ongoing support issues. Identifies support patterns and communicates these findings. Provides specialized administrative support to the New Media & Technology team. <br>
<br>
Approximately 25% of the duties of the Technical Support Specialist involve shift work in the Technical Operations Center (TOC). This includes scheduling of daily on-air activity including program automation, program recordings, and basic audio file editing; coordination of daily network operations, including transmitter operations, satellite uplink operations and audio database management; and the performance of related work, including monitoring/quality control and affiliate relations. If inexperienced in broadcasting, a full training program will be conducted by TOC management.<br>
<br>
The Technical Support Specialist must be able to work independently and achieve objectives assigned by the Vice President, New Media & Technology. This person should also be able to work as a team member in a highly collaborative environment. This person should be a highly motivated self-learner.<br>

Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves both software and hardware related problems, including networking issues. Able to set up and maintain Windows Servers, firewalls and VPNs, with deep knowledge of domain environments, Active Directory and Group Policy. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. <br>

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 4 years of experience in the field, MCSE preferred. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies not only on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, but is also able to use independent judgment to make decisions in the field based upon client needs. Works under immediate but limited supervision. <br>
<br>
Must have superior customer service skills and professionalism, including both written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organizational skills are important, along with willingness to provide detailed documentation of work performed (both for billing and internal documentation purposes).<br>

2.	Physically traverses each path from point to point to determine the height, width, depth, and exact location of potential path obstacles using precision instruments<br>
3.	Enters all path data into Pathloss for submittal to the designated backhaul engineer<br>
4.	Assists backhaul engineer in determining alternate paths if necessary<br>
5.	Maintains daily contact with Director of Field Survey Department<br>

	Conduct information security risk assessments and risk management services, providing security risk evaluation, mitigation and solutions to projects and initiatives.<br>
	Perform security audits of off-the-shelf and custom applications and infrastructure.<br>
	Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate.<br>

The Software Engineer is responsible for contributing to specialized technical knowledge in multiple product development efforts to support applications utilized and depended upon by SOURCECORPs operational facilities.  She/he will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment to develop, maintain and support web and client/server applications based primarily on Microsoft technologies.  She/he will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle. The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of a variety of applications.  The development teams are involved in a wide range of applications, ranging from document imaging to workflow to physical tracking (i.e., chain of custody) to pay management.<br>

Familiarity with software compilers, programming, Linux administration, and networking are required. Troubleshooting & de-bugging skills for all of the above is where the real challenge lies.
