Producing and analyzing profit and loss statements. <br>

Perform secretarial and general office duties.  Responsibilities include file management, answering telephone calls, correspondence and handling of department mail. Provide quality customer service for clients and internal sales staff while assisting in following up on cases that have moved into the underwriting stage of our lifecycle;<br>

Verify applicant contact information, vital and confidential information, update customers on policy status, and explain discrepancies or process.<br>
Handle multiple open applications and pending documents concurrently.<br>
Proofread/quality check life insurance applications<br>
Manage multi-projects in time-compressed situations.<br>
Process and review all life insurance documents cases in a fast-paced environment.<br>
Track and monitor underwriting of insurance policies from application to policy approval.<br>
Cross-reference incoming policy for accuracy, to application, database and carrier's website when necessary.<br>
Prepare policies to be delivered to client and update database with the vital information.<br>
Review the delivery requirements with the database before sending on to the carrier.<br>
Maintain regular contact with clients to inform them of the status of their application.<br>
Develop and maintain healthy business relationships with our underwriters.<br>

Role Description<br>

6.	Create and/or maintain an additional reporting requested from Corporate.<br>
7.	Assist site Site Manager with inventory maintenance and work with Purchasing Manager to maintain adequate inventory levels.<br>
8.	Measure and properly charge customer for accurate yardage of material coming in and out of site.<br>

<description><![CDATA[We are recruiting for a Receptionist/Admin. The starting salary is $32,000 - $35,000 plus great benefits (company pays 75% of medical costs). This position is contract- to hire and starts immediately. You must be comfortable around dogs as the owners keep 2 dogs in the offices. You will have to occasionally take dogs outside for short walk and break. The ideal candidate must "love the front desk" and possess a friendly, enthusiastic voice and have a strong grasp of the English language. Strong multi-tasking skills are also required as well as light accounting experience. <br>

Duties include:<br>

<br>
-Answer phones 8:00 am-5:00 pm Mon.-Fri. (preferably after one ring).<br>
<br>
-Greet guests (minimal traffic), receive and sort mail, FedX etc.<br>
<br>
-Entering consultants' time and expenses to jobs using "Time Slips". (This is a time sensitive task that has to be handled daily and treated with the highest sense of urgency and accuracy).   <br>
<br>
-Set up new jobs (also in "Time Slips") and the hard files for consultants. Process job-related expenses, including gathering receipts and other documents from consultants, and then preparing copies to back up billing at invoicing.<br>
<br>
Reconcile the company American Express statement. (Each consultant has an AmEx card to use for company expenses.) <br>
<br>
Also creates expense reports in Excel for tracking non job-related AmEx expenses.<br>

Requirements:<br>

- Minimum 2 years of front-desk receptionist experience in a small office environment.<br>

- Excellent communications skills, grammar and phone voice etc.<br>

-Outside activities and/or jobs must be limited to 12 hours per week for 1st year Community Assistants. <br>

 -Desk Attendants must be enrolled as a part-time, degree-seeking students. <br>

-Outside activities and/or jobs must be limited to 15 hours per week for 1st year Desk Attendants, or 20 hours per week for returning Desk Attendants. These are defined as any time commitments that occur outside of scheduled classes and DA responsibilities. These activities must be adjusted so that they will not conflict with DA responsibilities, including the scheduling of desk shifts, staff meetings, training sessions, and certain programmatic responsibilities. It is expected that DA responsibilities are priority over all extra-curricular activities. Any academic, extra-curricular or employment commitments above these levels must be discussed with the Supervisor prior to assuming and remaining in the Desk Attendant position. No exceptions will be granted for 1st Year DA’s during their first semester of employment. <br>
<br>
