It’s long but read it!
Tried cover bands, done original music too and been playing bass for the better part of 20 years. At this point I’m not chasing the dream and I don’t want to run after the original music scene. It’s hard work building a fan base and so on and honestly I don’t have the time to do all that original music demands.
So anyway I’m looking for a group of musicians that don’t really want to chase the original music scene around either. If quality original ideas roll up then we can present them, but the focus will be…becoming this ultimate, sophisticated-groove cover band I guess. Say 80/20 covers to originals if good original ideas come up. The cover product has already been proven and tested so we just have to do it right. There will be different types of musical environments to function in so please keep that in mind. This is a serious venture and it’s going to be all about the tunes. Blues, rock, jazz, pop, soul…from Sting to John Mayer, Corrine Bailey Rae to Pearl Jam, Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers…Justin Timberlake to Dave Matthews…Sade, Bob Marley, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, The Fray, Maroon5… Hot current tunes and Grammy winners and maybe a soulful twist to some stuff. Making sense?
So I know there are some great musicians and multi-instrumental people out there…cats that are bad-asses but think they have to be writing music to get out and play. I’m seeing dual vocalists or one slammin’ vocalist that can pull off both male and female vocal styles. Right now we have bass and drums, a multi-instrumentalist guitar/keys player whose primary instrument is guitar. We’re open to everything so contact me and lets talk about the audition process.
