Well men aren't as complicated as you think...there are three possibilities, (1) he may just not be interested (don't take it personal, animal attraction is simply unpredictable), (2) there could be another girl in the picture (or one that came *back* into the picture), or (3) just general distractions (work/family/school/unemployment/whatever). It isn't like he's asbent-minded or needs you to remind him you're there, or lost your number or isn't aware that you're interested (you made the initial move afterall, posting your ad) or anything like that.

My advice is wait until he makes the next move (your thoughtful Rockies invite as well as his "I'll call you" means ball is in his court). And since the interaction has been on a moderate level so far, it wouldn't hurt to chill out for now. Go about your business, have fun with friends, spend some me-time reading in coffeeshops, go on other dates (granted they may not compare to him, but ya never know, just live your life...and CL is great for hit-or-miss dates if ya just need some conversation over a drink, or pof). And I bet in a few weeks, maybe a few months, he'll remember your pretty smile and contact you to say hi (as friends or more). Or if it was case #1, maybe not but that's ok. Time is a river.

Basically my point is: with men, a little hard-to-get goes a long way.

Also here is a good trick (boys stop reading here, this is chick-insider-information! haha): write him an email or a text message, but *don't* send it...save it to your drafts (indefinitely) or delete it. It will get it out of your system. Trust me.

About a year and a half ago, I was sitting at the reception desk at work when a guy came in to claim a prize from the radio stations I work for. He was funny, charming, cute, he made me smile, the whole nine yards. I actually posted a message for him here, his friend read it, gave me his number, and we ended up going out for drinks and a movie that next weekend. I'll admit that I was pretty proud of myself for being bold enough to do that. I had a good time, mostly because I hadn't smiled like that for a really long time. We did a lot of talking, mostly just getting to know each other, he asked if I'd like to go to a Rockies game with his some time (of course, I said yes). The date ended, we kissed, and I couldn't sleep at all because... well, because I was being more like a 12 year-old girl than I care to admit :)

The following week, he said he was having a bad week on Wednesday so I didn't talk to him much; just letting him have his space, but I did let him know that I would help him with anything I could, and then some lady's monster of an excursion looked at my pretty white car and decided to eat it on Thursday; so I didn't have a fabulous week either. The next week, a guy at work gave me incredible tickets to the Rockies vs Padres game for Friday night, and I thought it was perfect so I asked him, but he was busy. We talked maybe two or three other times after that. The last time we talked he said he was busy and asked if he could call me back, but never did. It made me a little sad, but... whatever... and I moved on, but I've been thinking a lot about him lately, and I'm not so sure what to do about it.

I know that a few months before we met, he had just gotten out of a five year relationship, and had moved back here from California. It may have seemed like I was trying to pressure him into something, although that was never my intention. I also am aware that I am not the prettiest girl in the world, but he did say he thought I had a great smile and beautiful eyes, so that's gotta count for something, right? I hadn't liked a guy like that in a really long time, and I still really haven't. I would totally settle for being friends, I just thought that we had a connection that you don't just find with everyone you meet on the street.

So, I guess my question is, what can I do about it now that I've been thinking about him a lot lately? Can I call him? Should I text him instead? Do I cut my losses entirely? Please let me know what you think I should do, or what you would do, or what you would like for a girl to do for you.
