I have for sale, a FULL SIZE, STREET LEGAL scooter. This is NOT one of the childs/teen toys that are only capable of going 10mph. It is registered, has the sticker that is good through 2009. I believe the year is a 2004 and since I owned it from new and haven't rode it much, it has under 40km on it.
I'll start off with the good.
Its Electric! Full Electric with the charger included. If you're looking for a "green" vehicle, you can't get much "greener" than this! No gas to worry about, just get home, plug it in and it'll be ready to go have fun/run errands ect. next time you need it.
The reason I didn't drive it much since I bought it was that I unknowingly bought it with bad batteries. I've since replaced/upgraded the batteries (2 months ago) with ones that were better than what it came with to increase the drive time.
The scooter runs GREAT! Its smooth riding, accelerates well (for a scooter, we aren't talking about neck-breaking speed, but it gets out of its own way if it has to.)and has plenty of power to reach normal town speeds. I'm 275lb's and I've had it up to 50kmh.
Now for the bad part. It has some damage from falling over. No, I'm not one of those goobers that lays down a scooter. :-) It fell over when I was transporting it home, right after I bought it. As a result, the lower, right rear bottom panel is cracked and the right brake lever bracket is broken. The panel damage is only visible if you really look for it. The broken brake lever bracket is worse. Parts are easily found on the internet but I was just going to use a couple bolts and washers to bolt it back in place. I drove it fine without the bracket, you just cant use the front brake. I found a new bracket online for $15.00. The only other thing wrong with it is the left side rear turn signal lense is broken. Everything still works fine, all the lights work and I found a replacement online (same place that has the brake lever bracket and body panels) for $12.00.
So thats it, pretty straight forward. The price is $900 and I'm fairly firm on the price. I'm willing to work on the price a little, but not give it away, so if you want to offer $200, dont waste your time. I've got more than that in the new batteries.
I've got some really cool ideas for this scooter that I'll share with the buyer on making it better and easier to work with.
One other thing: NO joy rides without the agreed upon price in cash. This is due to someone who said they wanted to buy it trying to take off with it! I've learned my lesson on that one.

It is with regret that I sell my 1965 CB450 Black Bomber, too many cycles/cars/scooters no space.

The bike is in excellent condition! The bike is mostly stock/original from what I can tell except for the Euro handle bars (may have been a factory option as I see many with this option), kick stand and cafe pipe.
One of these in similar (not as good as mine) condition just went for close to $5,000 on eBay!

$600 in Shop labor at "hooked up" price from Steel's Cycles and Supertune Cycles not including the time I spent on it.

The bike still needs: Fork seals, Supertune recommended to refresh the motor over the winter. I am sure it has been rebuilt sometime in it's life, who knows when...It mildly smokes out of the left cylinder. This will cruise at 60 mph and/or 8000 rpm (10,000 redline) before hearing the spring steel valve springs. This is normal in these bikes and would last a long time even if not refreshed. But wouldn't redline it until motor is rebuilt. I have been quoted any where from $500-$1000 for the refresh depending on what performance options were wanted.

I just rode the 14 miles home from the shop and it runs EXCELLENT! Starts right up (electric start), very zippy and cafe style loud (loud pipes save lives!) not obnoxious though!

One other thing to note this has a clear Colorado title and is currently registered/insured, for some reason the guy I bought it from in Nebraska titled as a 1969, I had a shop in San Francisco look up the VIN, they said it is a 65 or 66, more likely a 65. This has had no impact when going to register/insure the bike.

The purchaser of this bike will also receive a vintage Style Japanese (black w/ White Star) motorcycle helmet.

No test drives until funds are in hand, I am happy to ride it around for you, this is a one of a kind VERY RARE find.

History on the Black Bomber:
Before Honda's CB450 arrived on the scene in 1965, many manufacturers outside Japan dismissed Japanese motorcycles as dependable, economical little motorbikes � nothing more. They were not in the same league as the booming singles and twins that occupied motorcycling's performance ranks. After all, a real motorcycle should displace around 500cc, said the pundits, and the Japanese weren't likely to build anything like that.
The CB450 exploded that smug misconception. As Honda's first big bike, the CB450 was a technical marvel, and offered all-around performance that put it squarely in league with larger displacement machines.
The 450 was a vertical twin with double-overhead camshafts. Forked-finger rockers opened and closed the valves, while an innovative torsion-bar arrangement provided tension for the rockers in place of conventional valve springs. At the time, technology couldn't mass-produce valve springs capable of withstanding high-rpm operation. Instead, Honda developed the torsion-bar configuration, and this complex valve train helped the CB450 rev to a remarkable 10,000 rpm at a time when the high-performance push-rod twins of the era signed off at 7500 rpm.
The CB450's chassis was fairly straightforward, with twin shock suspension in the rear, drum brakes, a wide comfortable seat and the kind of ergonomics that made the 450 an excellent touring bike. Indeed, there was nothing the 450 couldn't do well. Around town, it was an excellent commuter, and its rev-happy engine and solid handling made it a serious choice for canyon carving. Few motorcycles of any displacement could match the 450's overall performance and durability.

Standing at 5'6" I found it hard to keep control of the bike in tight turns, rocky trails, etc. The bike would be well on the way to the ground before my stumpy little legs could prop me back up. ohhh well. This is a classic 1976 Honda Goldwing, GL1000, fully dressed. It is sulfur yellow, one of the most collectible wings behind the 1976 Ltd. It has 132K miles, and has always been garaged and cared for. Recently the carbs have been rebuilt, synchronized, and tuned. It has had the valves adjusted, has electronic ignition, has had all fluids flushed and all leaking seals replaced. New battery last year. It has a Vetter Windjammer fairing and the Bates bag set-up. It has a cyclesound radio set-up installed (pictures don't show the radio)It is ready for the serious collector.
