So I have posted on here before, and for some odd reason the responses I've seen are just not what I'm looking for. I'm not interested in traveling the world, drinking wine, going to black tie events....so norm, so not me. Hi there....

I've been here almost 3 months, and haven't really had the time to go out and meet people. It's been challenging getting situated, but I think it's starting to settle down now. I'm a new resident of Colorado as of October, and I don't really know anyone yet. I feel bars and clubs are not necessarily a good place to start, at least not for my new life I'm starting here. Not that I'm opposed to them, but it's not cheap living on your own. I've lived in Florida my whole life, but actually dread and really hate hot weather, and love the cold. I'm not your typical Floridian. I don't have an accent, and I graduated college (zing!). I will admit though, I will totally miss SEC football. I live in South Denver/Centennial, btw.

In an ideal world, I would never move somewhere so far away on a whim. However, I was very tired of FL and even though I have traveled all over, I feel it's time for me to spend some time elsewhere, just to experience it for once. I won't lie though: I'm very homesick right now, and I wonder if I'm completely crazy for leaving my whole life, family, and friends behind. I think the older you get, the harder it is to make true friends. I'm over the whole bar-hopping and clubbing deal; it's the same anywhere you go. Not that I don't mind having an occassional wild time but the scene gets old. I've always wanted to come out West, and especially see Colorado. The mountains are totally amazing, and a nice change from hot, flat Florida. I would like to meet some people and make some new friends.

I'm not looking for marriage, but with that said, it doesn't meant I want a one night stand either. Ladies: stop reading so much into everything. Can't we all just stop obsessing over labels and words? I love sports, outdoors activities, fishing, nature, movies, and the like. Oh yea, drinking's great too, but I do it in moderation, and not driving afterwards. Can't wait to go kayaking and white water rafting out here when it gets warm! I love photography too, and I take some awesome pictures, just to toot my own horn. I'm somewhat of a nerd. I love video games (I was afterall raised in the Nintendo generation), like reading, and I loooove history. I think it's important for people to be well versed in this subject for many reasons.

Please keep on moving if you're: crazy, a super Christian, have no intelligence, you have a million rules and regulations, or are stuck-up. Also, if you're a one-email wonder or plan to just email forever, please let's not waste our time. Sorry to sound like a dick, but if I don't spell things out for people, I tend to get really annoyed. Also, if you email to just be mean or disappear, no thanks.

Also, I'm not overly superficial, but physical attraction is important. I don't expect barbie, as I'm not Ken, but I'm not necessarily into large women either. No offense; it's basic human nature and biology to be physically attracted to a potential partner. I prefer non-smokers, and women with no children. There goes half of my replies I guess. Kidding...

Just so I can get this out of the way I have a Six year old son who lives with me all the time, and I�m a smoker, so if that�s not what your looking for, bye. Now for the two or three of you left reading this my name is Jeremiah, I work installing breathalyzers in peoples cars, I live alone with my son, I figured the whole mom�s basement thing was a little out of date so�.. anyway I have posted here with almost no success and I�m really not sure what makes me think this will be any different but seeing as how I don�t really have a lot of time to go out and try to meet people, this is pretty much my only option. I love sitting at home and just watching a movie relaxing, it�s one of my favorite things to do especially in the winter time, I do like to get out do some fishing or camping, doesn�t really have to be an occasion I just like being out away from the city and all the morons who occupy it. I have kind of a duel personality, half of me is completely anti-social and the other half is outgoing and all about the conversation, it really depends on whether or not I think the person I�m talking to is an idiot. Basically I�m what most people would classify as an asshole, to me that�s a compliment, I don�t like to hold things back, if I have something to say I say it, if it hurts somebody�s feeling I�m sorry but you shouldn�t let other people hurt your feelings so easily. If you ask me a question I will give you my honest opinion whether that�s really what you wanted or not, most people say they want honesty but in the end what they really want is people to tell them what they want to hear. I know at this point there probably isn�t anybody reading this but I�ll keep going as if there was mostly because I like the sound my keyboard makes while I�m typing lol. I love almost all kinds of music and I�m in the process of learning to play guitar, it�s going very slow, and I�m sure my neighbors can testify to that. When I get out mostly I like to hit up a local bar, horde the juke box, shoot some pool and BS all night until they cut us off or the bar closes, or one of us hits the floor but that rarely happens, this year anyway. I�m not a fan of dance clubs because I�m not a fan of the people who frequent them, and I know it�s weird because I live in CO and have my whole life but I�ve never been skiing and I have no desire to try it. I guess this is the part where I say what I�m looking for and that�s not as easy as the rest of this was, I am looking for someone who truly wants someone to be honest with them and who understands that I want the same in return, and I do mean the brutal �get away until you brush the stink off your breath� kind of honesty, I am looking for someone who doesn�t take life to seriously cause I rarely do and obviously someone who likes kids, I�m looking for that person who lives outside of the so-called-box instead of just thinking outside of it every once in a while. Just wanted to flip the switch that blinks the light to serve as a beacon to someone out there.

He'd tag along with you when you went shopping, stop by your place for a movie when you were lonely but didn't feel like going out, or even sit there and hold you while you sobbed and told him about how horribly the (other) guy that you were fucking treated you.

At the time, you probably joked with your girlfriends about how he was a little puppy dog, always following you around, trying to do things to get you to pay attention to him. They probably teased you because they thought he had a crush on you. Given that his behavior was, admittedly, a little pathetic, you vehemently denied having any romantic feelings for him, and buttressed your position by claiming that you were "just friends." Besides, he totally wasn't your type. I mean, he was a little too short, or too bald, or too fat, or too poor, or didn't know how to dress himself, or basically be or do any of the things that your tall, good-looking, fit, rich, stylish boyfriend at the time pulled off with such ease.

Eventually, your Platonic buddy drifted away, as your relationship with the boyfriend got more serious and spending time with this other guy was, admittedly, a little weird, if you werent dating him. More time passed, and the boyfriend eventually cheated on you, or became boring, or you realized that the things that attracted you to him weren't the kinds of things that make for a good, long-term relationship. So, now, you're single again, and after having tried the bar scene for several months having only encountered players and douche bags, you wonder, "What happened to all the nice guys?"

Well, once again, you did.

You ignored the nice guy. You used him for emotional intimacy without reciprocating, in kind, with physical intimacy. You laughed at his consideration and resented his devotion. You valued the aloof boyfriend more than the attentive "just-a-" friend. Eventually, he took the hint and moved on with his life. He probably came to realize, one day, that women aren't really attracted to guys who hold doors open; or make dinners just because; or buy you a Christmas gift that you mentioned, in passing, that you really wanted five months ago; or listen when you're upset; or hold you when you cry. He came to realize that, if he wanted a woman like you, he'd have to act more like the boyfriend that you had. He probably cleaned up his look, started making some money, and generally acted like more of an asshole than he ever wanted to be.

Fact is, now, he's probably getting laid, and in a way, your ultimate rejection of him is to thank for that. And I'm sorry that it took the complete absence of "nice guys" in your life for you to realize that you missed them and wanted them. Most women will only have a handful of nice guys stumble into their lives, if that.

So, if you're looking for a nice guy, here's what you do:

1.) Build a time machine.
2.) Go back a few years and pull your head out of your ass.
3.) Take a look at what's right in front of you and grab ahold of it.

I suppose the other possibility is that you STILL don't really want a nice guy, but you feel the social pressure to at least appear to have matured beyond your infantile taste in men. In which case, you might be in luck, because the nice guy you claim to want has, in reality, shed his nice guy mantle and is out there looking to unleash his cynicism and resentment onto someone just like you.

Ok, time to move on to something a little less depressing. Although with the storm front that has just moved on, that may be hard to do. I already miss the sun. So, a little a bout me� I am single, been that way for about 3 years now. I have never been married, I have no kids, no pets, no skiing equipment. I once had a lime green moped, it was called �the Mantis� or as I know refer to it, the dignity vampire. I have never owned or driven a motorcycle, but would love to. I am not a dancer, my rhythm can best be described as non-existent. So, good news, I am not a clubber, in fact, I am not even sure I would have clothes cool enough to go clubbing in. I can cook, I like to cook. Last night for dinner, I had some cream of mushroom soup. I saut�ed some mushrooms up in a separate pan, finished them off with burning some rum on them, placed them in the soup and it was magical. I also have a dish where I get a thick chicken breast, stuff it with cheese and lobster and it is like a food orgasm. I love Mexican food and I will order 2-3 entr�e every time I go out to eat. I never finish it all, but I like to taste everything, so I get a few combos and indulge myself. Don�t really watch a lot of TV, Law and order reruns, al though on the scyfy channel is the 31 days of Halloween right now, so there are some good movies going on every night. Love scary movies, not to be confused with movies full of gore, for the sake of gore. Saw 1-6 , not my flavor, Friday the 13th 1-what ever they are at now, HIT ME UP! Zombie movies! If I could find a woman that loved zombie movies then she would be a Queen in my eyes. She would get what ever she wanted! I am not a fitness guru or anything like that. I have great metabolism and a lot of walking and bike riding. I do not lift, but my arms might tell a different story. I do not do ab workouts, and my tummy will back that one up, lol. But, I still wear a size 32 waist from high school, so I guess I am doing ok. I love to go to Dave and Busters! I will often times give all my tickets to some little kid who is not having much luck, and man do their eyes light up! I do like kids, and they usually like me. They see me as a five foot eight jungle gym. If you have ever seen the old SNL with Chevy Chase doing Gerald Ford, that is me. If I think someone is having a bad day or just needs a laugh, I will walk into a door, I will trip over something ridiculous or scream like a chic at an invisible spider. I do rely on Christmas to get cool clothes, along with no rhythm, I also have no sense of fashion. I do have an extra dose of romantic though, so it balances out.

Ok, so about my physical stuff, did the five �eight thing, somewhat muscular. Light brown hair, hazel eyes, lips that beg to be kissed and soft hands, but in a manly way damn it. I believe right around 170 lb, but I am not a compulsive scale finder. I work in an office near Boulder, but live down by Wash park. I sit on my ass for 8 hours a day on a phone. You would be amazed how many women call a sex line during the day! Just ask for Rico baby, lol. My mom and sister live out in Vegas, and brother who lives in NC, but is currently in Afghan for his 5th tour and my dad lives down in Gunnison. Where I went to school, where I did not learn how to ski. But I sure do sled like a pro!

I am not one of those hard bodies, and I don�t expect you to be, but you do have to be in enough shape to go indoor rock climbing or paintball one time a year, at least. Of course, hard bodies are encouraged 

In the end, all we want is love, it worth more then money, worth more then fame, more then an aston martin. We want to fight like crazy then have mind numbing make up sex. Some one you can be with for 65-75 years, sitting on the porch on the house you bought together, old and wrinkly and smelly, looking into each others milky white cataract filled eyes, can't even remember each others name. Is that really too much to ask for?

It is early morning as you drive to the Airport, you see the sun rising in the east. You park your car and walk through the hanger. Outside you see the Falcon jet waiting, door open and steps down. The pilot walks over to great you and helps with your bag. You climb aboard the waiting jet. It is early, 6.30 AM but you need to make an early departure to destination unknown. It is your first time on a private jet and is unsure how it will be. Excited yet nervous. You ask yourself, where am I going, I must be nuts.

Your date boards the aircraft; he is tall 6', 175 lbs, blue eyes, athletic build, great smile, he gives you a firm hug and a kiss. You sit down in the plush leather chairs and notice the flowers on the table in front of you. In it is a card that reads. "Welcome aboard, this is the start fo soemthing wonderful"

You have talked to him on the phone and emailed over a period of time and feel you have really gotten to know him, you feel comfortable with him and are ready for this new, fun and exciting adventure.

The pilot gives you a quick rundown on the safety features shuts the door and heads to the flight deck. You hear the 3 engines start and you slowly start to head out towards the runway. You Taxi to the North and stop just short of the runway, it is a wonderful day for flying. You watch as other planes land and you see the small Cessna in front of you head down the run way to take off.

The Plane slowly makes a turn to the active runway pointing south.

You hear the engines getting louder and you slowly start to roll you feel the force of this wonderful aircraft take you down the runway. It seems like only a minute and you are airborn!

The climb-out is smooth, the sun is shining and the clouds look like candy as you climb out. You notice that the aircraft is turning to the East. Once again you ask yourself where I am going. The conversation is great. You both are comfortable talking about anything and everything from kids to family to dreams. You laugh and enjoy each others company. As the plane reaches cruise the screens around the aircraft light up to show where you are and where the closest towns are, it lets you know speed but fails to give you a location of where you will wind up. Once again you wonder where we are going. Did I pack the right clothes.
Close your eyes and dream a little... Life is so short, get creative and find the right one! You will fly above the clouds!

What is so hard about being honest? It seems that people put an image of who they want to be out there, but it's just that, an image. I know why people put up facades. I myself have pretended to be someone I'm not. But I learned a long time ago, pretending to be someone you're not, is a waste of time. I'm looking for someone who has also learned this lesson.
