I moved here last year from NYC and I recently figured out why people like Denver so much. You get spring about 15 times a year. A big snow storm hits and it feels like winter. Then, the sun comes out and melts all the snow and it's warm again. Just like spring, and everybody loves spring.

So I�ve been single and in the dating scene for a few months and I have met some pretty amazing people. Some of them right here on craigslist, but haven�t really found what I was looking for.

So I came to the realization over the weekend that trying to meet girls at bars is not the way to go. Generally. How do you know if you've got a connection going with someone when you're loaded and you'd probably feel a connection with a tree if you looked at it in the right light? Your smile says yes but your glazed-over expression says, "The only reason I'm laughing at all your jokes is because I've had nine vodka crans in the past hour and a half."

But between work and not being in school anymore, I find it troublesome to meet anybody outside of the bar. I mean, I'm definitely not the type to start hitting on girls on the lightrail. Not trying to get maced here. Where do normal, well-adjusted people meet, anyways? Hence, craigslist.

A little about me, then. I'm 22. I was born and raised mostly in Denver, and have lived here for the majority of my life, aside from some hobo-ish moving around from state to state before I was 20. I've decided that, yes, I like it here still and there's a reason I always end up back in my hometown. I'm kind of a hipster. Or, at least, I definitely have some hipster-ish tendencies after living in the two hipster capitals of the world. It rubs off a little. I love music more than air, it's probably the big thing that keeps me from having a stroke. I love movies too. And books. Pretty much my three favorite forms of media and entertainment. I'm a little bit of a night owl. Funny that I also like to get up early, though. I guess I just like being awake. It makes me feel productive even if I don't leave the house. I'm employed, though, so it's not like I'm just sitting around doing nothing. I like to go out, fairly often. I prefer the nice, laid back little dive bar-esque places where the local indie bands can usually be found playing. Still down to hit up lodo from time to time, though.

As to what I'm looking for, to be honest, a relationship. Yeah, I know the chances of finding any kind of meaningful, long-lasting relationship on craigslist are almost as small as at a bar, but I gotta give it a shot. I'm always happy to make new friends, at the least.

So, if this sounds like your kind of thing, if I sound like someone you'd at least be mildly amused by, then definitely email me, and put the name of your favorite band or album in the subject.
