•Develops and delivers training to employees on required safety procedures, OSHA training, mechanical equipment, specific supervisory training, and other training as required.
•Confers with management and staff to determine training needs and objectives.
•Writes/develops training outlines, text, powerpoint slides, handouts, and tests.
•Delivers training on safety procedures, use of equipment, and conducts the certification and re-certification of various mechanical equipment.
•Tests trainees to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of training, grades tests to determine if trainee passes, re-trains trainee as needed.
•Administers written and practical exams, writes performance reports to evaluate trainee’s performance, provides reports to supervisors and management.
•Assigns LMS (learning management system) classes to employees.
•Records training results into the LMS, maintains the LMS for training assignments, documentation, and periodic reports to measure utilization and effectiveness.
•Demonstrates professional RMP behavior and ethics at all times.
•Actively supports the 6-S program and continuous improvement.
•Have good analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA or BS in business, safety, construction, or other applicable degree
•1-2 years working with safety or technical training programs
•Strong computer skills (powerpoint, excel, word, databases, editing)
•Good clerical and administrative skills; highly organized
•Experience with mechanical equipment, a plus
•Bilingual (English & Spanish), a plus
