We have 3 very well behaved dogs. 2 are almost 13 years old and the young one is 2. We have great dog and personal references.

For personal reasons, I would like to trade for a home in the Preserve / Greenwood Village / Cherry Hills area (generally looking in the up to $1.5 MM range).
We need another roomie or 2! We are looking at 3-4 bedroom houses in the DU, Baker, Wash Park, etc. neighborhoods to rent March 1 (or mid Feb)- 6month-1year lease. Dishwasher is a must. Laundry is preferred. Fenced yard, room for gardening and entertaining. ~$400 per person a month.
I tend to read a lot in my free time, or engage in some sort of outdoor recreation or traveling during the summer months. I don't mind socializing at home but I dislike excess partying. Sometimes I have a beer at home while watching a movie or something.

Currently, i have been trying to find a company to work for but the construction market is really depressed because of the recession. I was hoping to live in Denver and try to go back to graduate school for psychology. I finished plumbing trade school at Red Rocks Community College and have completed trade school in California as well. My goal is to find some work that will allow me to go to grad school at night. I've been able to squeak out a living by doing my own remodels and service and repair plumbing. But, ideally I'd like to find a company to work for and get some more schooling.
I'm a single 40 year old man, I dont have children and I dont have any pets with me. I do have some family support here in Colorado but they live way out in Bailey, CO. The cost of gas to travel to Denver is too much to commute so I'm looking for a place closer to where I'd like to work and go to school.

I've gotten some offers before when I post this but some people are out of touch with the cost of doing remodeling, plumbing, etc. I found its best to talk on the phone first to see if I can help. I'm very careful about who I do bartering with. I'm sure you are too. I do have reputation for being very honest and live my life with integrity and transperency. I have strong moral principles and values that i use to make my decisions with and I dont tolerate selfish people very well. I get along with "team oriented" "relationship minded" "loving" "golden rule abiding" people very well. Personally, I follow a servant-leadership model of conducting business. Basically, I put people's needs first. I dont worship money and I have never had a problem with money obfiscating my relationships with people or conducting business. I'm 40 yrs old.

I’m a practicing Christian.
I'm physically healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. I have been athletic all my life. I don't use any drugs. I drink socially and after work. I smoke cigars and pipe tobacco.
I have some points on my driving record but I have no DUI's in my lifetime.
Most of the roommate to share ads have been posted by non-smokers, non-drinkers, and basically pretty conservative type people, or if they were cool their property sucked, or the living situation was too family like. I don’t want to share a bathroom with someone that I am not sharing a bed with or eat Cheerios with their kid in the morning. The stand-alone rental market is out of order, also. To get a nice place requires $1000 to $1,500 a month. If you have been looking you know what I am talking about. Most of these places smell like rotten onions mixed with carpet shampoo and they are proud of it. Where these homeowners or property owners are getting off charging such outrageous prices in this economy is beyond me. Let their property sit empty for a while. Maybe they will get the hint.
We are a couple about to give our home in Lakewood back to the bank because it is currently not worth what is owed and will not be in the foreseeable future and our mortgage payment went from $1300 to $2400. If I am going to spend $2400 a month it will be for a home on the ocean in a country other than the US. So we are looking for a more reasonable home expenditure here in Colorado until we leave the state permanently. We have owned a number of homes here and are not interested in owning a home here anymore, unless it was an exceptional deal.
What occurred to me, more specifically, is that we meet another couple or an individual looking for the same things we are and living life much in the same manner as we do.
We would like to live in an upscale home for minimum dollars. Two compatible couples (or several individuals) can have that for one half of what it would otherwise cost, by definition. Aurora and Thornton are certainly out for us. Highlands Ranch and Centennial don’t appeal to us much either unless it was something really special. We need separate bathrooms and enough space for a bedroom and office. I would assume that another couple (individual) would want the same. The other stuff would include a nice kitchen, playroom, good closet space, storage areas, etc. We both like to cook. We have several Mercedes so ample parking would be desirable, but not a deal killer. I can find places for them if need be. Their feelings will be hurt, but they will get over it.
We love animals. We don’t have any at the moment. I just put my dog down recently. MarCelle is allergic to cats, however.
We are in our mid fifties. We are well educated, well traveled and cultured. We love to dance and socialize and treasure our quiet time, also. We both love most music except rap. We are not intellectually bankrupt yet.
We are both entrepreneurs, self-employed and risk takers. We communicate straight, have integrity and believe in Karma. We are not religious, but from time to time engage in things that enhance our spirituality. We smell the flowers along the way, but have been known to tear them out by the roots.
