JOB SUMMARY:<br>
Under general supervision, performs skilled and semi skilled manual labor and operates equipment used in maintaining the City's parks and recreation facilities.   Employee may coordinate activities with other workers or work crews and may perform as lead worker in specific assignments.  Performs a variety of skilled work within the park system inclusive of irrigation installation and repairs, horticulture and minor construction projects.  Will operate tractors, pick-up trucks, backhoe, snow plow, and snow blowers. Assists with routine and preventative maintenance repairs; may be required to make minor repairs or adjustments in the field. Maintains City parks, ball fields, open space, irrigation systems, trees, shrubs, grass areas and related facilities and plows and removes snow from trails, parking lots, and sidewalks. Repairs and inspects playground equipment and apparatus to insure its safe operation for public use.  Supervises seasonal employees. Performs other duties as assigned.<br>

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:<br>
Completion of a high school diploma; two years experience at the full performance level in operating equipment used in parks and facilities maintenance; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.<br>

A valid Colorado Driver's License with a good driving record is required.  Certified Pesticide Applicator, Certified Backflow Tester, Certified Playground Inspector, CDL are preferred.<br>

*Hold an appropriate 4-year degree (or have a minimum of 10 years directly relevant cost engineering experience). <br>

*Two to ten years of experience in the cost engineering field (or in a related field of which two years must be in cost estimating). <br>

*These positions prefer technical knowledge of several types of work including: environmental remediation, nuclear decontamination and decommissioning, and demolition; construction of major facilities, power generation, and public infrastructure; and program-level operations process management. The ideal candidate would have worked for the DOE as an employee or contractor.<br>

*Ability to achieve AACEI certification as a CCT, CCE, or CCC within the first year of employment with Project Time & Cost, Inc. <br>

- Coordinate with Corporate Audit Group and support periodic internal project audits, outside project audits by clients, and federal and state agency audits. <br>
- Respond to project/client directives and requests involving financial information, contract compliance, subcontracting/procurement, cost proposals, project audit, project accounting, insurance, property and other administrative issues. <br>
- Review and approve the application of accurate cost and pricing data in the preparation of proposal and contract information. <br>
- Assist with the development of the negotiation strategy and plan/lead, where appropriate, conduct contract negotiations with the client.<br>
- Conduct strategic pricing planning, lead cost proposal development and participate in technical proposal preparation in compliance with the Federal Estimating System Manual, RFP requirements and other firm policies and procedures.<br>

Qualifications:<br>

- Undergraduate degree in business or related field with 10+ years contract administration experience. <br>
- Must have experience in creating and maintaining databases and working with spreadsheets.<br>

Job Summary:<br>

•	Report any questions, concerns, programmatic information, emergencies, etc., immediately to the supervisor.<br>
•	Maintain on-going communication with supervisor regarding program status.<br>
•	Schedule officials and scorekeepers; officiate or score keep as necessary.<br>
•	Inventory and maintain all program equipment.<br>
•	Distribute and inventory t-shirts to participants.<br>
•	All other duties as assigned.<br>

Position Purpose /&gt;Responsible for the enforcement of all local, state and federal<br>
laws. Responds to requests for service on criminal and non-criminal<br>

JOB KNOWLEDGE - Essential Functions,<br>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<br>
<br>
1.  Law Enforcement <br>
a. Performs all duties related to traffic enforcement including traffic law enforcement, traffic accident investigation, traffic direction and neighborhood traffic control.<br>
b. Enforces all municipal, state and federal laws requiring police intervention to include summons, arrest, transports, booking, incarcerations, interviews and follow-up. <br>
c. Provides on-going patrol for all areas of the City. <br>
d. Ability to apply and utilize laws, resources, equipment and other personnel in all areas of responsibility.<br>

2.  Responds to requests for service<br>
a. Provides emergency response to all calls for service requiring immediate law enforcement intervention.  Provides full service police response on all criminal and non-criminal related activity, including timely response where a request for a police officer has been entered, immediate supervision where appropriate and comprehensive community problem solving. <br>
b. Documents all calls for service requiring reports or other written documentation and instruments to be recorded. <br>
c. Performs follow-up investigations on criminal reports taken in the field, prepares case filing for presentation to district attorney’s office.<br>
d. Administers first aid with or without the assistance of other emergency personnel. <br>
e. Participates in special events as assigned.<br>

3.  Technical functions<br>
(Physical)<br>
a. Operates an emergency motor vehicle in both normal and emergency situations.<br>
b. Utilizes both stationary and mobile date computer terminals and all corresponding applications for preparation of reports, inter-office correspondence, training memoranda, information exchanges and all other forms of communication indicative of this venue.<br>
c. Collects, preserves, packages, and records evidence from crime scenes. <br>
d. Maintains a high level of mental and physical fitness in order to maintain proficiency in firearms, self-defense tactics and all other areas requiring certifications.<br>
e. Employs physical force (up to and including deadly force) to subdue and/or arrest fleeing, resistant, and hostile subjects.<br>
f. Pursues fleeing subjects on foot. Climbs, crawls, or otherwise negotiates obstacles such as staircases, ladders, fences, window openings,<br>
attics, crawl spaces, and areas of gunfire.<br>
g. Drags, pulls, or moves persons to allow first aid, affect rescue or overcome resistance.<br>

4.  Technical functions (Cognitive)<br>
<br>
a. Provides court testimony and case preparation for all cases including traffic, criminal or civil requiring the officer’s presence or the officer’s reports in municipal, state or federal court.<br>
b. Utilizes exceptional oral and written communication skills.<br>
c. Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions under extreme conditions. <br>
d. Proficient ability to utilize firearms and self defense tactics.<br>
e. Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a closed environment.<br>

c. Develops meaningful community engagement promoting the interaction of the police with the community for the purposes of insuring community safety, problem solving, protection of life and property and quality of life issues.<br>

6.  Special Assignment Addendum to Police Officer Job Description <br>
<br>
Working Environment/Physical Activities:<br>
Work is primarily performed in a vehicle with exposure to adverse weather conditions. Also includes exposure to; bio-hazards, combative subjects, possible hostile gunfire, schedule (shift work, on-call duty), traffic hazards, noise from overhead sirens and firearms training, and stress from psychological trauma. Physical hardship from equipment weight on body and spending large amounts of time in a vehicle. This position requires moderate physical work with lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. <br>

Requirements <br>
Minimum Education or Formal Training and Experience:<br>
Bachelor’s Degree plus a P.O.S.T. Certification required. A valid Colorado Driver’s License required. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, ability to obtain and maintain certifications and proficiency in all job related required areas such as intoxilizer and PPCT, proficiency in firearms and self defense tactics, and good health and fitness levels.<br>
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Colorado class "R" drivers license or able to obtain one within two weeks of appointment. Must possess a Colorado P.O.S.T. certification or ability to test out and obtain certification.<br>
Official transcripts or certified letter from dean indicating expected graduation date must accompany application OR be available before interview process. Copies of degree certificates will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. DO NOT SEND ANY ADDITIONAL PAPERWORK.<br>

The Position<br>
Working in a temporary capacity, provides transportation services for City-sponsored programs.  Drives City Of Lakewood buses, vans, and automobiles.  May give direct assistance to individuals according to their needs.  Program activity sites include, but are not limited to: various Alpine and Nordic Centers, walking, hiking, camping areas, youth sports events. Maintains a valid Commercial Drivers License as required by the US Department of Transportation (USDOT), the State of Colorado and the City of Lakewood.  Maintains valid DOT Physical. Complies with all federal, state, and local rules, statutes, ordinances and codes, including vehicle inspections, licensing, observing traffic signals and speed limits, and requirements for seat belts, snow tires and tire chains.<br>

The Candidate<br>
The City seeks a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent.  <br>
Minimum of two years experience driving 22-passenger C2 and para-transit buses, or larger passenger vehicles with air brakes.  <br>
Minimum of two years experience driving in the mountains during all types of weather conditions, especially middle of winter, in a CDL Class-B required bus.<br>
Experience working with children and youth, older adults, and people who have disabilities.<br>
Experience operating wheelchair lifts and securement systems, including child restraint systems, within established safety practices and guidelines.<br>
Must have current, valid Colorado Commercial Drivers License: Class –B with P2 endorsement and with the air brake restriction lifted.  The ‘S’ endorsement may be required within 6 months of hire.   <br>
Must possess a three-year Motor Vehicle Record free of moving violations.<br>
Must pass City of Lakewood Certificate of Qualification for USDOT Physical including initial drug and alcohol screening.<br>
Incumbents will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol screenings. <br>
Criminal background check is required.<br>
Must be able to perform the physical requirements as listed in the complete job description.<br>

Hours of work: Will work sporadically throughout the year on an “as needed” basis.  Working hours will vary to a great extent and could include weekends, evenings and some overnight trips.<br>
