The Position:  The Crime Analyst I is a non-sworn support position for the Jefferson County Regional Auto Theft Task Force (JRATT).  The purpose is to provide timely and pertinent information relative to crime patterns and trends as it relates to auto thefts and to assist operational and administrative personnel in planning the deployment of resources for the prevention and suppression of criminal activities.  This will aid in the investigative process and providing timely information, which increases the apprehension of offenders and the clearance of cases. The Crime Analyst I performs routine crime analysis duties, such as developing regular crime and calls for service bulletins; conducting and presenting historical analysis on both general and specific crime and calls for service information; undertaking tactical crime analysis, and assisting with research projects. Develops statistical data resources to assist in proactive and targeted investigations, preventative enforcement and education, identification of theft patterns, trends and criminal organizations, and identification of known and repeat offenders.  Statistical data collection of the time period between the theft and recovery, as well as the condition of the vehicle once recovered.  This information will be analyzed with the identified offender for future needs and dissemination.  Provide statistics and established benchmarks regarding percentage of unrecovered autos.  Identifies patterns of theft and recovery locations for commonalities and offender localities for investigative purposes.  Develops and maintains Tactical, Strategic, Administrative and Operational analytical capabilities. <br>

The Candidate:  Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college, with an emphasis on criminology, social science, statistics or other related field, by end of six-month probationary period. One year of experience and/or continuing education in the fields of criminal justice, statistical analysis or social science research.  Certified Crime and Intelligence Analyst is preferred.  Driver’s license and good motor vehicle record.  Knowledge of law enforcement operations and procedures.  Knowledge of computer data systems, statistical analysis, and mapping software programs.  Ability to present facts and render opinions to all levels of a public safety organization. Ability to develop new programs for public safety benefit. Ability to convey complex concepts and theories clearly and in a credible manner. Knowledge of principles of statistics and quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, demographic and social variables affecting public safety. Ability to identify and organize data for analytical purposes and present data in detailed statistical reports or other methods.  Ability to handle routine exposure to crime scene details involving graphic content, photographs, and evidence. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work with and display sensitivity towards diverse groups of people.  Ability to work in a collaborative manner.   Excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness, self-confidence.  Team player and ability to work independently. Ability to exercise good judgment at all times.  Professional credibility and integrity. Knowledge of police department files and the relationship between the various databases to formulate computer queries.  Sound understanding of mapping processes and demonstrated ability to operate ESRI’s Geographic Information Systems technology or another GIS software application. Knowledge of cartographic and geographic principles required.  Principles and practices of professional and technical writing. Under the direction of the Director of Historic Preservation, the Preservation Planner performs work to meet the requirements of the Certified Local Government program, which identifies, designates, and protects historic properties, sites, objects and districts within Park County.  This position also serves as staff for the Park County Historic Preservation Advisory Commission.<br>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <br>
Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Historic Preservation<br>
·	Maintain records of listed and eligible National, State and Local Historic Properties for public access<br>
·	Maintain records of historic surveys of Park County and make available for public access<br>
·	Keep current photographic records of historic properties in Park County and additional geographic features as needed <br>
·	Maintain financial records of the activities and budget of Preservation Planner.<br>
·	See that requirements for Certified Local Government status for Park County are fulfilled, and submit the nationally required annual report to the CLG coordinator with  the Colorado Historical Society. <br>
·	Apply for and administer appropriate CLG grants on behalf of Park County, and fulfill grant-reporting requirements.<br>
·	Seek and maintain resources for information about historic preservation and restoration techniques and materials for use and reference by the public<br>
·	Gain and maintain familiarity with the terrain and historic structures and sites of Park County and maintain maps of cultural resources within the county <br>
·	Assist the Director to protect the interests of Park County historical properties and sites in matters concerning state or federal projects, reporting to the Colorado Historical Society’s SHPO and the Park County Board of County Commissioners, as well as the affected agency (Section 106) <br>

SUMMARY: <br>

This is a temporary part time position, averaging approximately 15-20 hours per week.<br>

Maintains the Women's locker rooms and provides basic custodial care for the entire facility during periods of high usage at the Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center.<br>

Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from level I or, when filled from the outside, require previous and directly related experience.  Level and starting salary will depend upon the successful candidate's education, knowledge, training, experience and certifications.  <br>
<br>
Facility Attendant I:<br>
Under immediate supervision, this is the entry-level class in the Facility Attendant series. Incumbents entering this class have limited related work experience.<br>
<br>
Facility Attendant II:<br>
Under general supervision this is the intermediate-level class in the Facility Attendant series. Incumbents entering this class have previous directly related work experience.<br>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br>
<br>
Maintains appropriate locker rooms which may include mopping floors, cleaning mirrors, and cleaning lockers, showers and sinks. Performs various combinations of the following: sweeps, vacuums, mops, cleans restroom facilities and fixtures; replenishes restroom supplies. Empties and cleans waste receptacles. Washes windows, mirrors and walls. Assists with room rental set-ups. Assists with supervising various areas of the Recreation Center. Ensures all possible safety measures are observed. Reports any issues and/or concerns to supervisor/management staff. Responds to emergency situations as required and maintains accurate accident and incident reports. Complies with City and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned. <br>

High school diploma or GED plus six months of basic cleaning or janitorial experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.<br>

High school diploma or GED plus two years of cleaning or facility maintenance experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.<br>
