Spring Special!! On all shake roof repairs and maintenance!!! 30% off standard rate!!! Standard rate is $12-$16 a shake to pull out and replace. Things we check for that are potentially harmful for the life of your roof are:
* Look for blowouts which are parts of the shake that reveal the felt paper underneath and is caused by exposure to the sun and will soon lead to a leaky roof once the sun penetrates through the felt paper.
* Crack over Cracks which is a crack in one shake that is directly over a crack in the shake beneath it, which also reveals the felt paper to sunlight.
* Cracked or broken ridge, ridge cap is made up of two pieces of wood stapled together at the top and over time the sun causes them to warp and get a wide gaping hole in the top, which also reveals the felt paper to the sun.
* Rusted valleys which will soon get little tiny holes in the valley metal once the rust has penetrated through and this will cause a leaky valley and water will run right into the bare wood underneath the valley cause it to starts rotting and leaking into the house.
* And of course any shake or ridge that has blown off or broken.
